Historical Preservation of the East Perth Power Station

The aim of this project is to document and preserve anything and everything related to the East Perth Power Station.

 

Much of what’s published about the power station repeats the same generic information — copied across government reports, websites, and articles. But there’s so much more to the story.

 

What about the machinery and how it worked? When were different parts installed, by whom and at what cost? What incidents happened here over the years? How much money was spent running and maintaining the station? What environmental contamination isn’t being publicly discussed? And perhaps the biggest question of all… what does the inside actually look like?

 

This project is about uncovering those details — capturing the untold stories, technical history, and personal experiences connected to the power station, whether positive or negative. We believe all perspectives matter.
